Trail Description (from All Trails):
This 2.6 mile loop hike is near Pacifica, CA and will take about 2 hours for our group to complete. This is considered a moderately challenging route with light elevation gain (400 ft.). There are many stairs leading up to the peak of this trail. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. If you bring a dog, please let the organizer, Keegan, know ahead of time. Please make sure your dog is dog- and human-friendly.
Hiking Level: Moderate (great for beginners)
Hiking Time: About 2-2.5 hours
What to Bring: Water, comfortable sturdy walking/hiking shoes, layers to prepare for Bay Area weather, journal, and an open heart
Bring snacks to share for a light picnic. I will bring a few snacks to share for our halfway point stop. We'll stop at the halfway point for a brief guided meditation and a group connection experience.
Let's walk into the second half of the year with purpose, presence, and sisterhood.
While Keegan is guiding this experience, she is not the expert in hiking or this trail, this hike is collaborative and is more about connection with nature and each other. This is a hike at your own risk event and take care of each other. We look out for each other and take care of each other along the way, but most importantly, take good care of yourself first. That means knowing your own limits, taking breaks, bringing water to stay hydrated.

Trail description from All Trails:
This 4.0-mile out-and-back trail generally considered a moderately challenging route, takes an average of 2 h 17 min to complete.
This trail is an out and back along the popular Steep Ravine Trail. This trail follows Webb Creek and features dense redwood forests and beautiful views of rolling hillsides and the Pacific Ocean. There are also a lot of stairs along this route. Pantoll Campground is a great halfway point along this route, because there are restrooms, picnic tables, and drinking fountains. This trail begins off Highway 1 near Stinson Beach.
Recommended to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring layers.
Bring bagged lunch and/or snacks to share. We'll stop at the halfway point for a brief guided meditation and to group connection experience.
Unfortunately, this trail doesn't not allow dogs.

Keegan Mills is a transformation coach, energy & sound healing practitioner, yoga teacher, and writer. She has been an educator and facilitator for over 15 years with a passion for women’s empowerment, heart-centered leadership, and cultivating resilient communities. After experiencing a life-altering bike accident 7 years ago, she embarked on a transformational journey to explore healing modalities to repair her body and spirit. This month’s experience will be in honor of our transition into the winter season. Winter is a time of slowing down and rest. As the days become shorter and shorter, with less light in our day, it’s time for us to go inward, take time for ourselves and decompress. As you slow down and allow yourself to unravel the tension and stress in the body and mind, the body can truly active the rest & digest aspect of our nervous system.
In this workshop, you’ll be able to unwind and de-stress through longer held poses lying on the mat with the support of props along with the healing properties of sound healing.
You will be led into a state of deep relaxation with calming breathwork, meditation, and supported poses that will help to nourish your mind and body. Throughout this workshop, you’ll be able to clear your mind to get present, allowing yourself to come into a fully relaxed state of being. By allowing the body to rest, the body begins to heal.
While in this deep state of rest, you’ll get to experience a crystal sound bowl bath, a sound healing experience that will aid in the continuation of relaxation and resetting the nervous system. This restorative practice supports in balancing the nervous system to help alleviate anxiety, fatigue, and chronic stress. This workshop is for all body types and all levels. No experience is needed as the poses are meant to support you wherever you are on your journey. Props will be available at the studio, no need to bring.
